Our Story

In 2019 Kelsey turned her lifelong passion for baking into a business and started KB Cakes providing custom cake and cookie orders for the Mississippi gulf coast.

In late 2020, during the height of COVID 19, her husband, Eddie, received Permanent Change of Station orders moving Kelsey, her husband, and their 8-month-old son to Yokota Air Base Japan.

With the pandemic ongoing, jobs for military spouses were extremely difficult to find but she saw opportunity and restarted KB Cakes, building it into a thriving business while overseas. Time in Japan was challenging but while there she networked with other small businesses, explored Japanese confectionary styles, and last but not least gave birth to a daughter named Amelia.

Fast forward to 2024 and once again the family is packing bags and moving to…you guessed it…Dayton, Ohio. Armed with the lessons learned from KB Cakes, Kelsey rebranded to Amelia’s Treat Co. to serve the community of Dayton, Ohio and beyond.
